Bankers Healthcare Group is pleased to announce that its third Send A Smile campaign is officially underway in partnership with Operation Smile, an international charity that provides free surgeries for children born with cleft lip, palate or other facial deformities.
BHG offers an array of financing solutions for healthcare professionals, and for each BHG loan funded through the Send A Smile campaign, one cleft repair surgery will be donated to Operation Smile on behalf of the BHG client. The company has pledged to donate $25,000 (100 surgeries) by April 30, 2016, but hopes to surpass that amount.
“Operation Smile is grateful to Bankers Healthcare Group for their commitment to help fund surgeries for more than 100 children through the third Send A Smile campaign,” stated Lisa Jardanhazy, VP of global media strategy for Operation Smile. “Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. This partnership will not only provide needed surgeries for children in resource-poor environments, but will also connect Operation Smile to BHG’s clients—healthcare professionals who comprise the volunteer pool for our medical missions. This partnership works on all levels and we thank BHG for their continued compassion for our cause.”
As a business that works exclusively with physicians, dentists, nurses, and other medical specialties, BHG holds the healthcare profession in high regard and puts a distinct emphasis on supporting medical charities. “We’re pleased to be a part of Operation Smile’s global cause through our Send A Smile campaign,” said BHG President Bob Castro. “Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Operation Smile, its various supporters and dedicated medical volunteers, these procedures continue to improve the lives of countless children all over the world.”
The two organizations are thrilled to continue the campaign, which has seen great success in recent years. If you’re a healthcare professional interested in supporting this cause, considerOperation Smile’s medical volunteer opportunities or other ways to give.
