Patient Lending: The State of the Industry

Tyler Crawford
CEO of Patient Lending & Chief Business Development Officer

Tyler Crawford currently serves a dual role at BHG: CEO of BHG Patient Lending and Chief Business Development Officer at BHG. As CEO of BHG Patient Lending, Tyler oversees the company’s patient lending programs for individual practices, hospitals, and surgery centers. He works closely with BHG’s business partners and healthcare providers to implement the right-sized patient lending solution that helps patients pay for their healthcare costs, while helping healthcare providers reduce procedure abandonment and earn revenue.

As Chief Business Development Officer of BHG, Tyler manages new initiatives, product lines, and relationships with high-level business partners. He actively seeks new opportunities to continue the success and growth of BHG, working with a cross-function team to design and implement processes that support business growth and new initiatives throughout the company. In this role, he helped build BHG’s $350-million-plus credit card portfolio and BHG’s Patient Lending program.

Additionally, Tyler manages BHG’s New York City office.

Prior to joining BHG in early 2012, Tyler was an institutional Sales Trader at Dahlman Rose & Company, a NYC-based boutique investment bank focused on the natural resource supply chain. There, he was responsible for developing and expanding institutional and hedge fund client relationships through innovative trading ideas, daily market analysis, and communicating strategies to manage clients’ capital exposure.

Tyler received his B.A. in Business Management from Gettysburg College and also his Series 7 and 63 licensing from the National Association of Securities Dealers. He also has received his property and casualty insurance agent & broker license from the Department of Insurance in New York State. He currently resides in New York City.
